eriklysoe 0 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 I'm using Canal digital android tuner for my tv. I installed emby app and I tried many times to log in with my username and password, and it will not accept it. Trying pin, webpage says pin is ok but nothing happens. It works well in chrome on web. The server is on a pi. I gave up.

vdatanet 1617 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Check your Android TV name: https://www.talkandroid.com/guides/android-tv-guides/how-to-rename-your-android-tv-devices-so-you-can-easily-identify-them-when-chromecasting/ The name must not contain special characters.

Carlo 4561 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Just now, eriklysoe said: Is just standard localip:8096 OK from your Canal box in the Emby app and do a manual server setup. Use your IP of the Pi device as well as your port 8096. Let us know how this works, Carlo

Found out that android version is 7.1.1. No problem connecting to jellyfish or Plex
Solution eriklysoe 0 Posted September 9, 2020 Author Solution Posted September 9, 2020 I created another user, and with a password with only numbers. That worked! So guess the special characters in my master password created problems.
Carlo 4561 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 I was going to suggest to try changing your password and see if that helps!

ebr 16184 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Hi. Exactly what characters were a problem?
