Reverse Proxy - No compatible streams are currently available

Hey folks,

I just recently installed Emby to see if it can replace Plex for me and I've been having a very frustrating issue.

I have my Emby behind a reverse proxy for external access.
I've added a music library and have noticed that it throws errors on some (not all) FLAC files when played via the reverse proxy.

No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.

When accessing Emby via local IP it works just fine.

Any idea on what might be causing such Behavior? Are there any setting I'd need to adjust to make this work?

I would suggest comparing your nginx configuration to that of @pir8radio. Please see if that helps. Thanks.

It's hard to compare because I am using Nginx Proxy Manager to manage the reverse proxies.
The strange thing is that it only affects FLAC files. I had no issues playing any other formats.

One other thing I just noticed it that while one browser doesn't play a song, the same song plays just fine in another browser.
There are also songs that don't play in any browser on my computer, but when opened in Safari on my iPad they play fine.

All of these issues seem very random.

Most likely the proxy setup is altering the requests or responses in such a way that is causing a problem.

if you click my avatar or the link Luke posted above, you have to click "ABOUT ME" to see the example config..   if proxy manager writes the configs for you, that is most likely the issue.
