Library update issue

Hi All,

I have an issue in that I have the whole library for shows but for some reason so1e01 has the same file but newer, the library updates in latest TV shows. Should it not update because it should already recognize another S01E01 is already there? For some reason my Emby Library now has a ton of old shows showing latest TV shows. Another issue not Emby related is I need ot check by some newere files of the same eposide is being uploaded. (Have to investigate that). I have 2 servers running. In Plex  it doesnt update these old shows but in Emby it updates them.

Could it me allowing MEdia conversion that's causing this?

Yes, see https://lnkk.me/p9uGopnP and yet the Library shows up as new epsodies in latest tv shows.

I am wondering is these files are because I allow Media conversion?

Each one is it's own record. The new ones have a newer date added so that's why this is happening. I can see why it might be undesirable though.

It should be smart enough to know that an episode is already there no?

Also can you tell me if the Media conversion is what's causing these files to be put up and then updated as new? I am trying to find out why these files are appearing

But again they're two separate records that get joined together.

Looks like you setup multiple conversion jobs on your entire tv library. Did you want to do that?

Thanks I have since deleted all conversions now. Hope I am in the right path now.
