Watched progress resets in Android TV app.

I have encountered an issue where the Android TV (non paid) app resets the watched progress of TV shows if you leave and come back into the app. 

I will play something, stop it, leave the app, and when I come back it will be reset to 00:00.

I have even observed this while inside the app.

Maybe the minimum resume time is not reached. That's configured in the Library. If you are using non paid app and you are not Premiere, with 1 minute playback, you will hardly reach the minimum resume time

There is no free Android TV app.

If not unlocked or Premiere the app should only be providing a 1 min playback, so the Resume limit is never met.

Yes I have premiere, there is an unlock app feature on Android TV though. 

You pay $5 or something to unlock additional features.

Definitely not a server issue either, because the watched state progress saves when using the web interface.

Premiere. Is that option on the server, or the app?

If you have Premiere and you have available Devices (25), you don’t need app unlock. With Premiere you can have 25 devices, app unlock is there in case there are not Premiere slots available.

Yes I can play entire episodes and movies. 

I was watching a 1hr TV episode and stopped at about 35 min and observed the progress being reset.
