Notifications Help

I'm an experienced Plex user, new to Emby and I'm trying to replicate some notification functionality I have with Plex/Tautulli with Emby. 

Basically I have an email that gets sent out whenever the following conditions are met:

- New TV Show Premier Episode added (released in the last year)
- New Movie added (released in the last year)

The email includes the following:

- Movie: Title (Year)
- TV Show: Show Name - Series Number (Year)

In addition to the TVDB or TMDB URL. 

Is this functionality at all possible with Emby?

Have you explored the mail notifications plugin to see if it fits your needs?

I have - all that it allows me to do is send emails. It doesn't provide any functionality on when/how to send emails.

You can configure that in the server notifications section. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks,.

Thanks - unfortunately not.

Currently I have certain eligibility of when to send a "Recently Added" notification (when a movie/show with a release date of 2020 is added - and only send a notification on Series Premieres) - and for each eligible item to have it's own notification. 

It looks like Emby sends a notification of all recently added content in the one notification (whatever was added on the last scan), and you can't set eligibility criteria (includes all additions in the notification)

to add on to this... can we set up a push notification via text message or app push notification, or even when they sign on to the app on there tv they get a popup saying this movie or movies were just added?  alot of the plugins you have to setup an account with that website

Hi there, not yet but it's something we plan to add.
