Collection tag from IMDB/themoviedb list

Apologies if this is a dupe with 190 pages of requests it is had to make sure.

IMDB and themoviedb both have a lists feature and whilst i realize we cant use IMDB as a data source i use it here to show the concept (since it is easier to google examples that themoviedb).

If a list could be the source of a collection tag it opens the door to some quite nice views.

ETA? Seems like many of the most useful requests always get the same "for the future" answer and when we get to the future it's the same answer

I agree. That would make my year.

 

I’ve been adding hundreds of films, as well as short films to Emby, and it’d be nice to see some of my custom TMDB lists in my Collections so I can more easily find my short film sets, as well as larger lists of movies I’ve merged into one.

The issue I have with themoviedb is that they only allow a movie to be in one collection and the criteria for a collection are too strict for my liking.

Hence why I want to have other sources for collections.

Two years later...

Since no lists, neither from TheMovieDB nor from TheTVDB. A collection of Game of Thrones series is only self curated possible. :-(
