Jake5150 0 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I set up media library for random videos that I have set as "Music Videos." The layout is pretty ideal but just one issue that is bugging me. I have backdrops for the initial library view and for when you click on one of the videos, but when you click a folder to browse the videos there's no backdrop. I can solve this by setting it as a "TV Show" library but the layout isn't really good for it and having every video in a "Season" that doesn't exist because they aren't TV shows doesn't make much sense. Is there a way to force it to show backdrops when browsing the videos or is it just not a feature? Example below as how there's backdrops in the 1st and 3rd but not the 2nd one, which would be nice. It's not the end of the world, I was just wondering.
Luke 42078 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Hi there, how have you named and organized your files?

The directory for the videos is "E:\Test\Don't Hug Me I'm Scared" with "Test" being the main library folder. I changed some things but I currently have one backdrop I set to one of the videos and it's shown below. I tried to see if i could manually add a backdrop inside the main folder but either that doesn't work or i dont know the naming scheme. Edited September 1, 2020 by Jake5150
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Seeing the same - no backdrop for folder view with Music videos Have poster and landscape jpg files in the artist folder which is equivalent to the OP's "Dont Hug me..." folder - these do not appear to be read and/or displayed
Jake5150 0 Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 It looks like it did work in another library I made to test with the same type but it seems like it wasn't intentional because after I refreshed the page, it no longer shows the backdrop.
Luke 42078 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 If you use the image editor on that folder, does the backdrop show up?

No. No matter the image type I try to put on the folder nothing shows up. I have this set for this other test folder but nothing happens. Edited September 2, 2020 by Jake5150
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 @Luke is this do to the items are within folders and entering the folder does not read item fanart (no subfolders only items)? Image in second post Library will see the folders fanart, but entering that folder there are no more folders to present fanart from. Enter a item shows that items fanart. If all items were in folders then you would have all those fanart images rotating within that folder.
Luke 42078 Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Ok the list screen currently doesn't show backdrops but this can be looked at.
