Copying or moving movies without them showing as new

Hi Folks - I'm sure this must have been asked but I cannot see it :(

My question is this...

Say I have some movie folders such as "movies 2015, movies 2014, movies 2013" etc and want to move all those movies into one folder called "older movies" is there a way to do this WITHOUT emby showing all those moved movies as being new or unwatched? Basically they are not "new" to the server just to that folder so hopefully the watched status etc would not be changed?

Any ideas folks?

Hi.  As long as they are properly identified the watched status will remain.  As for them showing as "new" that will depend on how you have that setting in your configuration.  If it is on file date and the file dates don't change, then they will not be new.
