Hi,

I am testing right now the Anime Plugin and saw, that a Option exist "Title Language". I can set this to Romaji, Japanese, Localized and German.

I found out, that this had a effect on the Anime Movie / Show title, but not on Episode titles (see Screenshot).

If I check the Anime on anidb, it shows the titles localized: https://anidb.net/anime/10736

I think this is because my Emby Metadata is prefered scraped in German Language.

Is there an option to use English prior to Japanese as fallback if available?

@TheGremlin yes that might be the reason. what series and episode metadata fetchers are enabled on your anime library, and in what order?

Hi Luke,

I had enabled this Order:

- Anisearch
- Proxer
- AniDB
- Anilist
- MyAnimeList

I found out, that it worked after I set the Metadata Language to English on the show itself.
But I think it falls back as default language to Japanese Langauge, if the prefered Language is not found.

You don't need to help me in this case anymore, as I found a working solution for this case and I think about to use TMDb as default scraper for Anime too, since most Metadata for Anime is in English Language. Anisearch provide Metadata in German Language, but but it scrape just the Series Metadata, since Anisearch don't provide any Episode Metadata. Anidb provide translated Episode Metadata, but the Episode descriptions are in English only. I think the Anime Plugin is really great, if you prefer all your metadata in English, but if you want it also in your native Language, TMDb or tvdb is the better way to go.

Another issue / bug I noticed is that the Proxer Metadata scraper don't work. 😕

But big thanks about your help!

Yea I don't believe the anime plugin has implemented language preference support, so essentially when you use that, you get what you get :). It's something that will need to be improved with it.
