Thumbnail images saving location

Hey @Luke

In server config options for Thumbnail images there are 2 options, 10 seconds and chapter markers. Only if you select 10 seconds option (which in my case is too low) there is an option to save images in location with media. If i select chapter markers there is no option to save it with media. Is that intentional or maybe a bug?

Thank you

Intentional/original design as Chapter images where never saved with media as I asked this question when interval images were added.  Pretty sure there is still a feature reguest for chapter images to be save with media.

There is that option just select 10 seconds interval and option will show to save it in media fodlers.

My question is why isnt there for other interval that is avaliable as option also.

Because interval images at other values had playback issues in other clients, mainly the Roku.  I will search for the topic but they are out there.

Yes, with chapter markers the amount of space used is small as it's basically just an image per chapter so it's stored in the metadata folder.

When doing full scale thumbnails you get the option to save with the media.  It would make sense to be able to store these locally as well in case you ever have to rebuild the library.

Here is the topic for why other interval options were removed.
