Auto should be fine on the LAN, Remote would be another story.

Please try lowering the in-app quality setting and see if that helps. thanks.

The correct answer was doing the opposite. He increased the in app quality, and then it played correctly. I would say that the actual problem is another auto bandwidth test fail.

Nothing in this topic is about Auto as it does not apply in LAN that I know of.  Unless it is client specific.

I've had if fail multiple times, on a wired 10G network. Auto is unreliable.

OT: I have yet to see a wired connection have any issues on a LAN with Auto.

Internal.  What drive is really irrelevant, but externals will power down and/or disconnect, so for a server that is always looking it will throw a lot of errors.  But since you were playing media off the drive that shows these error I would say it was probably offline at the time of those errors.

ok thank you! would a external hard drive with a power supply suffice? I need to transport this drive frequently. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-my-book-8tb-external-usb-3-0-hard-drive-black/5605510.p?skuId=5605510

USB is fine but would look a your power management options on the system it is plugged into.  But some externals power management is set in their firmware also.
