Library not showing content

I have a weird issue affecting one of my libraries in Emby version 4.4.3.0 running on Debian 10

Basically I randomly lost all content in one of my libraries. It only affects one library, and oddly, if I search for something that's supposed to be in the library it finds and plays it?! I have tried removing and recreating the library, but it is no help. I've tried re-scanning, refreshing metadata, and logging in as a different user. I've tried from an admin account too. No matter what I do or what I try I cannot get the items to show up. It simply says "no items found" when I click on the library. Again though, if I search for a video in the library, or if I go to favorites, or even if I go into Generes I can still very much see the content that should be there and even play it. Also I have checked file/folder permissions, disk mounts, the works. Any suggestions would be super helpful and very appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there, can you please go over a specific example? Thanks.

So I've uploaded some images, here you can see a comedy folder containing some old rips I made of some comedy routines. As you can see image 1 shows the library in the libraries section of the emby server settings page, image 2 shows the library as seen by any user who logs in, as far as I can tell. Image 3 depicts the library once you click on it, and image 4 shows the metadata manager, showing that there is, in fact, content that is supposed to be in that library.

Again, I've already tried removing, re-adding and re-scanning the whole library, as it isn't that big.

Ok, I'm trying to following:
removed the library
allowing a scan it started
deleting all .nfo files in the path of the library I remove (find . -name "*.nfo" type -f -delete)
adding library
scanning

Once that process is complete, I'll let you know. If there's anything else that can be thought of for me to try, please let me know.

Another weird thing I've noticed is that even after removing the library all the content still seems to be there and remains searchable, even if it doesn't appear in the library it's supposed to be in. It's very weird. Content even plays still. Tried clearing browser cache, trying different browsers, etc.

Hi,

Run a full library scan of the whole system.  At the very end it will remove entries that no longer belong.

Let us know how you make out doing it this way.

Ok, giving that a try.

To me this would suggest the folder path for Stand-Up Comedy is already covered in another library.

Is this Stand-Up Comedy folder a subfolder of a folder that is already in your Library?

Well I think you're correct, I'm not sure how, those files aren't in the same folder path, but sure enough another library is picking them up. I'll mess with it and let you know if I manage to get it resolved. Thanks for the suggestion!

Okay, yep, seems one of the folders got inadvertently copied into a sub-directory it wasn't supposed to be in. I'm re-scanning things now, but I'm like 99% sure this is solved. Really appreciate all the help! Thanks!
