How can I selectively migrate from old Server to new server?

 I bought a Synology DS1019+ and I want selectively copy portions of my existing server over to it, what setting do I need to apply to have this new instance scrape/pickup the NFO info, backdrops, covers and actors from the folders I copy over without re-scraping/grabbing new info, art from the internet? On my (old) other server I have save artwork and NFOs to the media folder for all TV & Movies titles.

I'm not sure what you mean by "selectively copy portions" but this knowledge base article might be of assistance.

That is really geared to copying your setup over to a new instance.  Depending on your needs may or may not help as I'm not sure what your objective is with the "portions" comment.

If you are talking about the centralized location for images and metadata, basically need the entire Emby server program data folder as all metadata is in the database and images are saved by a database linked id.  But your conflict may come from having different paths for things on one sysnology to the other.
