Shockrift 0 Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 (edited) Hi all; I appreciate any help on this matter as 'refresh metadata' does not resolve this issue. However, I created another emby server instance, tried to reproduce the issue and could not--upon reproduction 'various artists' was linked correctly. Classical Music library where single composer albums set albumartist to composer and compilation albums (or multiple composers) to "various artists". The single composers show up as expected and allow me to browse by composer. However, compilation albums default to one specific artist that I assume was the first artist found when scanning the first compilation album added. So this is a cache issue apparently and I'm wondering how I can find out if the 'refresh metadata' is failing or how I can manually disassociate the linkage I've described. I'd like to avoid recreating the library to flush the cache but will if there's no simple fix. Thanks in advance. Edit: The 'default artist' I mentioned had a musicbrainz id associated I removed that and refreshed and this time it corrected to the musicbrainz id for 'various artists' with compilation album description. However, there are two results when searching for 'various artists'. If only there was a way to merge/link these artists? Edited August 19, 2020 by Shockrift
Luke 42080 Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 HI, in your original installation, how old is that install?
