Yes, I can back out of the trailer playback "usually". I sent you 3 logs and the first time I tried backing out and the app didn't seem responsive, but eventually it backed all the way out and exited. The second two logs I backed out no issues. Sent you 3 logs starting at 1950 EDT. User Rick.

xlerate 8 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Glad I found this thread. Same issue. 2017 Nvidia Shield, Emby trailers work on desktop & mobile just not the shield. No blocks and using the default updated (unwanted) launcher. YouTube 1.07.07 works fine on its own. As others have mentioned, launching the trailer shows the splash image of that trailer then just spins indefinitely. Emby version 2.0.09g
redaktorn 23 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Hi, I have the same issue as reported by others in this thread. All my devices with Emby for Android TV system has stopped to play Trailers. (I have tested latest version 2.0.32 and also some old versions 2.0.02, 1.8.65) Emby web and Emby for Android works OK. It also works in Kodi with Emby-next-gen. My devices with problems are: Sony TV Bravia, Mecool KM6, H96Max_X3. I suspect it has something to do with updates in the Android TV system, considering that the problem affects only Android TV devices.

Agree, but trailers still work in ET for Android app on my Shield so the two apps must be handling trailers differently and the Google Android changes only caused ATV to stop working 2

Something changed at YT most likely. We're working on it. You can use the other app if this is something of extreme importance for you.

No it's OK, I'll live without trailers until you get a fix available, as the other app is nowhere near as user-friendly or eye-candy rich as the ATV app. 1

Carlo 4560 Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I'd have to agree with @CBers. The Android app is ok but more generic in nature then the ATV app which has been tweaked like crazy by @ebr for a great ATV media experience UI wise. 2

Hopefully your latest ET updates may make it look closer, but it's functionally is not as good as the ATV app. Functional issues have been brought up many times, but you have never dealt with them.
