LOTN 0 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Just discovered Emby and installed it from the official AUR repository in Manjaro. I have it completely setup to my liking. What I would like to know what would be involved in replacing the install from AUR with the emby-server-flatpak_4.4.3.0_x86_64.flatpak without loosing any of my settings? Thanks
Luke 42079 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Hi, to be honest we haven't tried this. I guess I would first install the flatpak version and see if it uses the same data folder. If not then you can always migrate the current one.
LOTN 0 Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 So they should run side by side without issue?
LOTN 0 Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 Good day, Decided that on the other OS I'm sticking to the installer version I have here for uniformity, Now with that said I just finished setting it up yesterday and have yet to install Emby. It is Arched based just like Manjaro and for the most part out of the box just like Manjaro. I have the same username, same computer name so porting over the Emby data base / settings should be fairly straight forward. All I need now is a good guide from you guys on how to do it and the commands for starting up Emby after install and the one for having Emby start at boot. Thanks
LOTN 0 Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 Figured someone would of posted by now. Emby is now the only thing I have to do.

Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Regarding backing up and migrating the server data, have you taken a look at our knowledge base article on backing up emby server ?
Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Regarding the install process for the flatpak package, instructions can be found here: Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
