yairgil 2 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hi, I downloaded and installed the server and the Android App yesterday. Server is installed on my Win 10 desktop. I can't connect from the Android TV app to the server. The app can see the EMBY server but all connect attempts fail with Volleyerror error (no details). I tried connecting through "find another server", explicit IP address, and PIN, all fail with same result. I am able to connect and stream from the server using a different DLNA app (Air Stream) on same device. I pressed 'send logs' from the client app. On the server side logs I can't see any mention of connecting from the Android TV app. Any help will be appreciated Thanks, Yair
ebr 16185 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hi. Have you tried from a PC browser on a machine other than the one the server is on? This sounds like the firewall on the server machine not allowing connections to the server. Connectivity
Solution yairgil 2 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Solution Posted August 16, 2020 Thank you for your response. I think I found the problem. The Android TV device name had non-English alphabet letters in it. Once I changed the device name the app was able to connect. All the best, Yair 2
ebr 16185 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Ah. Thanks for reporting back. That issue should be solved in an update to the app in the not too distant future.
