gmpmovies 3 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I use Emby Media Server on a Raspberry Pi with a wireless access point in my car and trailer during trips. Recently I was on a trip with some family and friends and they loved the idea of still being able to stream movies and TV Shows while traveling. The only downside, however, is that I constantly have to remove my Raspberry Pi and connect it to my router at home so that the license can refresh (I have the lifetime subscription) so I can continue using the Emby App offline. If I go over a month without performing a refresh, then. when I try and access the server 'offline' it will prompt me to purchase a subscription, and I will have to wait until I get home again to plug it back into my router and refresh the already existing subscription. It's pretty annoying to have to continue to do that and it would be nice to have some sort of way to just allow a lifetime subscription to never require a license refresh so I don't have to worry about the app not working when I'm using my server while camping or traveling.
