Hello

Is it possible to have the media info showing when viewing the content?

Or can someone possibly tell me how to view that information?

 

Iam specifically looking for the path details before playing the content.

Have you scrolled to the bottom of the details screen? 

You need to have DEBUG options enabled for some reason.

Because casual users do not care about video codecs, etc.

Go into the app settings and turn on debug options and you will get that information.

I would have that that was basic information, rather than hidden behind a debug option. 

Having debug option permanently enabled on my Shields, I forget what's hidden when it's not enabled.

I agree that I don't want to see it , but maybe it should be in a separate setting instead?  For those who do want to see it turning on debug seems harsh.

Please do not make it visibe for regular users.
It would just confuse regular users I guess.
