Video Enthusiast 1 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Hi - in Jellyfin, when I launch a movie (or a tv show), there is this really cool feature where it displays the poster for that folder in the bottom left of the screen for a few seconds. This is so cool, but I don't see this in Emby using the default set up. Is there a way to turn this on? (I did get a tip elsewhere that I can use Kodi and set up the Embrear skin (or something named elsewhere) but I am looking just to see this when accessing Emby from a browser or in the Nvidia shield client. Also - when I installed the Nvidia shield client it is really nice but it said I am on a trial - is this client one of the paid features?
Carlo 4561 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Check out this page which shows what Emby Premiere give you feature wise on the different clients and servers. @cayars Emby used to display the poster art and also the timeline during video start but has since removed this as most users didn't want the poster nor the timeline showing up at the start of a movie that they already choose and just got done looking at the poster. That space is now used for other functionality. In the new design you can click the "i" info button during playback to bring up the movie poster and description of media.
Video Enthusiast 1 Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 thank you for that information!
