Help with "Being Human" US and UK images are mixed up

Recommended Posts

I own both the US and UK versions of Being Human. Initially both shows would combine into a single show, then I found the "Lock Metadata" tick box. Now the image files seem to be confused between the two shows. (See attached images. The first browse into the images is the UK version, the second browse into images is the US version. Note how the images in the second one are not correct. Only the background image is correct.)

Embyserver log attached. I have more logs, but I do not know what is needed.

HI, how have you named and organized the files?

Looks like you have a permissions issue also.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\Media\TV Shows\B\Being Human (US)\poster.jpg' is denied.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\Media\TV Shows\B\Being Human (US)\fanart.jpg' is denied.

Writing all your bif (creating thumbnails) is failing also do to permissions.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\Media\TV Shows\C\Curse of Oak Island\Season 2\The Curse of Oak Island - S02E01 - Once In, Forever In-320-10.bif' is denied.

I don't see the series being identified in the log.

If you choose Edit metadata on each series, do they have the proper Externalids?

Have you tried using Identify on the the series that is incorrect?

But ideally you would name the series the same as TVDB

Being Human or Being Human (2008)

Being Human (US) or Being Human (US) (2011)

Okay, system had full control. The user that Emby is running as had full control. What permissions do I need to add ?

(To alleviate the immediate issue, I added Everyone with Full, but that is a no-no, and I will be removing that permission.)

I had them being named as "Being Human" and "Being Human (US)" but that ended up as combining the shows into a single show. I then tried add the (UK) to the end of the BBC and BBC. I did not try the year, but will go ahead and do that.

BBC TVDB ID 81386

US TVDB ID 196921

FIle bot pulled the names from TVDB and named the BBC version "Being Human", and the US version "Being Human (US)"

Flopped names back to exactly what TVDB has "Being Human" and "Being Human (US)"

Forced the match under the show (US version) again. Now I wait and see if it sticks.

Without the log from when these shows were identified it is hard to say.  I would just use the Identify option and replace image assuming permission are working.

As you can see the default query for Being Human returns three results to choose from

They are constantly threatened with exposure or persecution, with pressure from other supernatural creatures, and with problems caused by their attempts to deal with their own natures.</Overview>

Personally I just tested "Being Human (2008)" and "Being Human (US)" without issue.  But there will always be quirks with same named media without additional identifiers on both.

Assuming permission are correct all you should have to do is Refresh Metadata and select replace images on the item with the wrong images.
