hedgehog90 19 Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 (edited) On my Android 7.0 the the scrolling is really glitchy and awkward to use. I have to swipe very slowly otherwise it acts unpredictably. Swiping down too fast stops scrolling dead or can even slingshot the scrolling in the wrong direction. It's like this on all menus. It also appears to be running at below 30fps, a lot less smooth than all my other apps. When I first installed Emby on my Android about a year ago I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this. I would attach a log but there are none in my com.mb directory. It's really annoying, please please fix this. Edited July 30, 2020 by hedgehog90

Luke 42078 Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Can you see if this version is any better? Thanks.

It's as if the low framerate (<15fps at times) is affecting the swipe detection. Swipes need to be checked at a reasonably high frequency to get an accurate measure of the intended gesture, if the frequency is low then it can produce some weird results. I'm not familiar with android app development, but if the app is using some novel way to detect swipes that is directly tied to the app's redraw rate, then this is probably where the problem lies.
hedgehog90 19 Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Just upgraded to Android 8.1 and am still experiencing this issue, so it does not appear to be a problem specific to my version of Android.
Luke 42078 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 What version of the Android system webview app do you have installed?
hedgehog90 19 Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 (edited) 69.0.3497.100, but it says it's disabled. I looked into it, apparently it's intentionally disabled as Android no longer uses it for running web apps, instead it uses Chrome. My version of Chrome is 84.0.4147.111 Edited August 5, 2020 by hedgehog90
