Custom Localization file ignored

I have a ratings-nz.txt file in \Emby-Server\programdata\localization\ that looks like this:

G,1
PG,5
M,6
R13,7
R15,8
R16,9
R18,10
R20,10
R,10

It used to work fine, but I haven't bothered with it for a while. Today I noticed it doesn't work. The metadata dropdown box under Parental rating gives me:

NZ-G
NZ-PG
NZ-M
NZ-R13
NZ-RP13
NZ-R15
NZ-RP16
NZ-R16
NZ-R18
NZ-R
NZ-MA

Are ratings picked up somewhere else now? How do I customize this?

Does anybody have information on this? Something has changed, perhaps a while back, I don't know, but editing the ratings file does not work so there must be another way.

From my understand this was all moved directly into the server code.  Now the server will prefix your country to the rating provided by TMDB

This is something we'd like to make configurable in future updates.

Are the ratings you've customized standard for nz, or something you came up with?

Yes this is standard for NZ. R20 hasn't been used much but was on movies like Clockwork Orange. I would like to customize this a bit more so would be pleased if this could happen. Thank you for responding.

Ok we'll get R20 added back for the next release. Aside from that, all of those ratings you mentioned before are still there, but they're just prefixed with NZ- because that's what we do with the ratings country code.

We should probably improve it though so that we don't need to display that prefix everywhere.

Regarding full customization, yes this is planned for the future. Thanks for the feedback.

It's been a few years and it looks like nothing has changed unless I have missed something. I guess this is not a big issue, but I don't like the NZ- prefix and think it looks odd. Personaly, I liked the original method of using the localization files as it allowed me to create custom codes.

I think full customization would be ideal. Just hasn’t happened yet.
