Dashboard shows incorrect browser

I changed default browser in Win 10 from Chrome to Edge. Emby server runs on Edge but the dashboard shows I’m logged in from Chrome. Now when I use the “identify” function for a specific movie file, it does not retrieve any information, even when I include the IMDB id number. Switched default back to Chrome and it shows login as Chrome and will retrieve metadata.

i ran a complete uninstall of Emby then changed default browser to Edge and reinstalled Emby server, but dashboard still says I’m logged in with Chrome. Seems like there must be something the uninstall is not removing.

obvious fix is just to use Chrome as my default, but I don’t like the idea of having some deeply buried glitch.

any thoughts?

If this is the new edge then that's based on the Chromium project. Its been mentioned before to properly identify it as Edge:
