Paulshelling 9 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 (edited) The same issue I had with Synology is now on the PC, it can't find any metadata for anything. At first I thought it was an issue for a particular library as when I told it to replace metadata it would load for a couple of seconds and then complete without doing anything, however this is also the case for all others which have previously been working properly. This was never resolved for me on Synology and forced me to move my server to PC. Others been having this issue since March and are still having the same problem with minimal answers. I'm anxious that this will just become an on-going, months-long issue that will simply remain a mystery until a patch randomly fixes it either later this year or next year. Is there any way I can grab the NFO files manually or through other means? For example saving directly from TVDB? Edited July 27, 2020 by Paulshelling
Carlo 4561 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 I don't have a Synology so can't comment on that but this doesn't happen on the PC server version unless your configuration is changing either in Emby or at the OS level. As an example if you install, run and setup Emby as user JOE then the appdata would typically be stored: C:\Users\Joe\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Now if you change your login and run Emby as user Administrator it would look for data at C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server This would make it seem that Emby lost everything when in fact it did not. So check that something like this isn't happening. Do you have the Emby Backup plugin installed and configured to make schedule backups of your data? If so you can likely restore from this.
Luke 42080 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Hi there, can we please look at an example? Regarding Synology, it should be resolved with this: 1
Paulshelling 9 Posted July 27, 2020 Author Posted July 27, 2020 It's randomly decided to work again, I haven't changed anything. Thank you for the reply, i'll update if anything changes
