jemus 3 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hey, I am using Emby Server on an Odroid N2 and the Emby App on a LG B8 OLED TV. As the server always wanted to transcode video files, I unchecked the following options for the user: Allow audio playback that requires transcoding Allow video playback that requires transcoding Allow video playback that requires conversion without re-encoding Everything worked as supposed, no media was transcoded. But then I ran into problems while playing a file with Dolby Atmos (TrueHD Core) audio. The Emby App on the tv didn't play the audio track, as the tv can't pass the track via ARC to the AVR. So I wanted the Emby Server to transcode that Atmos/TrueHD track. Enabling "Allow audio playback that requires transcoding" led to no more playback of any media. The error on the Emby App said there were no compatible streams. That's why I also enabled "Allow video playback that requires conversion without re-encoding" as I thought the transcoded audio has to be muxed to the untranscoded video. Now I get to hear the audio track of the Atmos file but the picture is kind of broken. For some seconds it runs okay but then I get a few seconds of bright neon colours. What can I do to bypass that? I also took a look at the settings of the Emby App but wasn't able to find an option to make the app decode the Atmos/TrueHD track itself.
Luke 42077 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 hi @jemus can we please look at an example? Thanks.
