Misinthe 46 Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Hi guys, I have a file that when I play on my computers and some TVs, it plays fine. But on mobiles and other TVs, it's all jacked up. Anyone know why this would be?
Carlo 4561 Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 From web on a computer (as a system admin) can you bring up the movie/episode, then scroll down to the bottom and grab a screen shot of the media in question and post it here? Do a test for us. Go to Scheduled tasks and run the job to rotate logs. Now play back the media again and note if this file is direct played, direct streamed or transcoded? If not sure run a quick test and check the dashboard (web admin) while playing to look. Now upload the embyserver.log file and if transcoded the most recent log file starting with ffmpeg. What is the name of the media being played back?

The movie is Direc Play, do you want me to upload the ffmpeg-transcode or the ffmpeg-directstream? embyserver.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 I don't really see a reason for the jumbled output. If it's just this one file or just a couple, it could be likely something to do with the encoding that won't show up in the MetaData. Is this just a file or two doing this or many other files similar to this?

Carlo 4561 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 That's good. I'd seek out a replacement for that file and hopefully your issues is solved.
