udiggity 3 Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 My emby server is not displaying genre on the home screen, I've tried using web access, Roku and fire tv, it doesn't have genree as a filter and I can't search by genre, but looking through my metadata, everything is tagged.

udiggity 3 Posted June 29, 2020 Author Posted June 29, 2020 Actually I just noticed for content type it says "Mixed Content" is that my problem? I set all this up like 7 years ago now and have just been adding to it.

Mine looks like this (after I've clicked on Genres, of course - Movies is the default): EDIT - I just noticed you said "Mixed Content" - you don't get that choice in that case, even though you get it for both movies and series. Sorry yes as the library has to be reindexed in that content type. Have you verified all your other libraries content type? Did you use the Server Configuration Backup plugin recently to Restore Emby? Edited June 29, 2020 by Happy2Play

I'm not sure how I ended up with mixed content, but yeah my movies and tv shows were setup as mixed content, I am fixing it now. I think I did use the restore when I upgraded like a year or 2 ago when to upgrade, we had to install fresh.
