Connections on new dell g5

Hi guys i just switched my computer to the dell g5, so i had to migrate my server , or in my case delete my old one start a new on the new pc, everything was was ok at home , my fire sticks are working  pretty well, but my remote connections are not, i have premier and obviously i have connect, but when trying to get into emby outside of my home it shows no sever, on any device, I haven’t changed anything on my router since my old pc so i doubt its that, i allowed emby on my window defender, I also have mcafee that came with the cpu, im not sure if thats an issue, and without wifi my phone is connecting and my wifes phone aswell.  Which makes it seem like my remote must be working, just not anywhere else???

I am pretty sure your new PC got a new IP because of a different MAC Address.

So you ether need to make a IP Reservation in your Router for this device to the same IP the old PC had

OR

You need to modify the port forwarding in your router to the new internal IP.

This will solve your Problem.

I changed fire walls and looked up the port forwarding and both the 8096 and 8920 are active, but now the external ip is work but my password isn’t working, this password thing has been either working or not working consistently for the last few days, i even has issues signing in to this forum today

it says error do you have an emby account, if your still having this issue contact support, im actually surprise i can even respond to this 10 minutes ago nothing was working

When i try to connect my server with connect it doesnt work in the setup for the server, then sometimes it wont let me connect to it when im trying to get on here, it says error, and externally it never lets anyone connect to my server if it lets them in it was say add server, my server wont be there

the external is using the local password, invalid user name password keeps coming up

i have worked on everything and now i know for a fact its my connect, one of my externals when trying to get in on a fire stick it says, enter manually or log out of connect

This is on the server when you try to put in  your user name or email as registered here on this forum?

If so, can you please attach the server log from when you attempted that (and tell us what time you attempted that)?

Just tried to log in on my pc, and I couldn’t just luckily this page was still open on my cell phone.  1608 or 1610 i tried to sign i believe.

it hasnt worked just yet my emby connect is just sometimey and when people try to get on it using the correct credentials they usually have to do it manually.

@Planit Bro please download TeamViewer from Teamviewer.com, install, launch and PM me your ID and one-time use only password.

If you can do this in the next half hour great, if not just PM me a time (EST) and we can do it then.
