Hello, I'm having issues connecting to my Emby server's WAN address.  The port is open and canyouseeme.org is visible but I get a time out error when trying to access the given WAN address from the Emby dashboard.

Hi. One thing to try.

If your Emby install is Windows based check that your LAN connection is set to "Private" if it's "Public" Windows Firewall will block incoming connections - which will prevent access via WAN.

There are few ways to do this, an easy way is to open File Explorer, scroll down and click on Network. Across the Address bar you'll get a message About network file sharing.
if you click the message a dialog box Opens. Selecting the Top Option "No make the network connection i'm currently connected to Private" will adjust the firewall.

I'm paraphrasing the exact message but it's along those lines.

Hope that helps!

I'm actually running Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.  I set the firewall to allow connections on the router and the server.  Like I mentioned, canyousee me checks out fine.  It's just the WAN URL provided by Emby that doesn't work.

Thanks again!

What ports are you using for Emby Server?

Can you post a pic of your firewall settings for port forwarding.  If it shows your outside address your can just cover that up.
