VarimbehPhen 0 Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 I currently am getting my TV service through Spectrum Choice (streaming only). It would be awesome if I could somehow set up Emby to pull that in, but I'm just absolutely lost looking at the LiveTV setup stuff. Is there a way to do it?
ebr 16178 Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Hi. This would be possible if they provide a m3u option to obtain their streams. This is highly doubtful however because I'm sure they want you using their interface for this (allows them to advertise to you).
VarimbehPhen 0 Posted June 26, 2020 Author Posted June 26, 2020 I was afraid that would be the answer but hope springs eternal. Ah well, this'll still be useful for getting my DVD collection all into one useful place.
KellyEmby 13 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I also have the Spectrum streaming service and had to GET a streaming stick to use it ( I used ROKU devices ). To get to Spectrum I open the ROKU > and then choose the Spectrum app (just like choosing the Emby app). My question is I would like to use the "Live TV" feature of Emby so I can eliminate Spectrum’s DVR… Is there away for me to be able to do this? It seems to me that Spectrum streaming is somewhat like IPTV?? Thank you.
all4dom 101 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Look at channels dvr. It's what I use & when I'm on roku, it's how I watch live tv.
Luke 42078 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Do they have an m3u output feature? If so then you could import that into emby server.

daldana 122 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 If you have Channels DVR, you can set up a TV Everywhere source for Spectrum in it. Then you can add a tuner in Emby with the format like http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=ts&filter=favorites (be aware, these parameters would also import any other sources in Channels DVR). Then you would set up an xml guide source in Emby in this format http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8089/devices/ANY/guide/xmltv?duration=1209600 (use the same ip address as above and this is for a 14 day guide).
