FR4NK_CA5TLE 0 Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 I use tiny media manager to create my .nfo files. I am coming form Kodi and I am used to selecting only use .nfo and everything works perfectly. I am not having any such luck with Emby. How do I disable online metadata scrapping and force it to read local .nfo files ?
pwhodges 2014 Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Emby is supposed to use .nfo files before external metadata. But maybe it wants some info that is not in your files. In the library settings you can disable all the metadata sources, which I guess ought to do it. Paul
FR4NK_CA5TLE 0 Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 I have all metadata sources unchecked and still have issues. An example, I have a movie named Bad Santa, has a complete .nfo. Every time I add the movie back it overwrites my .nfo and replaces it with the American movie Bad Santa.
FR4NK_CA5TLE 0 Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 So it looks like the problem occurs when I have an NFO with partial information and the movie shares the title with a movie in the IMDB/similar database. My adult parody movies are effected by this.
Luke 42085 Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Sounds like maybe you want to disable internet metadata for that library?
FR4NK_CA5TLE 0 Posted June 25, 2020 Author Posted June 25, 2020 These are the settings to disable correct ? Or am I in the wrong place ?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 Yes with all the library providers disabled, Emby should only be reading the provided nfo metadata assuming they are valid fields. If that is not happening you have to post the nfo file.
