bmflagg 21 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 OMG.. it's back...Edge no longer works.. No updates since last post...
Carlo 4561 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Has your PC or server changed IPs? What do you use URL wise to connect via Edge? What plugins do you have installed in Edge? Firewall open, no additional security software? Can you login with any user or none of them? Screen shot of what you see please.
bmflagg 21 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Has your PC or server changed IPs? > No What do you use URL wise to connect via Edge? , local ip.. 192.168.50.4 What plugins do you have installed in Edge? > none Firewall open, no additional security software? > standard windows firewall Can you login with any user or none of them? > any user... Screen shot of what you see please. 192.168.50.4:8096 show list of accounts on this emby setup. Clicking on any user and authenticating then fails .. YET.... which google chrome (which i'm not a fan of) ... works .
Luke 42078 Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Could also be due to some windows networking or edge settings being reset after a windows update. I recently had to redo some of my windows network options following a recent windows update. 1
Carlo 4561 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Likely a result of yesterday's change my Microsoft where they updated Edge Chromium to replace Edge on systems. Also Avast has published a list of addon that if ever were installed (doesn't matter if removed) can cause this as well: The apps reported by Avast are: Direct Message for Instagram Direct Message for Instagram DM for Instagram Invisible mode for Instagram Direct Message Downloader for Instagram Instagram Download Video & Image App Phone for Instagram App Phone for Instagram Stories for Instagram Universal Video Downloader Universal Video Downloader Video Downloader for FaceBook Video Downloader for FaceBook Vimeo Video Downloader Vimeo Video Downloader Volume Controller Zoomer for Instagram and FaceBook VK UnBlock. Works fast. Odnoklassniki UnBlock. Works quickly. Upload photo to Instagram Spotify Music Downloader Stories for Instagram Upload photo to Instagram Pretty Kitty, The Cat Pet Video Downloader for YouTube SoundCloud Music Downloader The New York Times News Instagram App with Direct Message DM Avast can fix this if you ever installed any of those.
bmflagg 21 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 thanks for the replies.. I don't have any of those (or types) of extensions. this is a pretty plain box. windows, office, visual studio, putty.. pretty much it.
Carlo 4561 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I've tried Googling and hitting MS support forums looking for things for you and most issues have been the plugins. Some config/updates but there doesn't seem to be any thing concrete. Maybe another member has some knowledge on the subject they can add to help.
bmflagg 21 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 thanks.. I too searched.. So this morning i did the big finger and reset the PC. Windows (current and up to date), Office, VS set up and it's working again.... I've made a HD image of this state and will try to figure out what is going on moving forward... weirdest thing I've ever seen.. 1
