bgregor 2 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 I have set up Emby to record a series of shows which are repeated across a number of different channels. Some channels have both HD and SD versions but emby recorded the SD version rather than the HD version of the programme. Is there any way for Emby to prioritise HD recordings over SD while setting up the recordings? 1
Luke 42078 Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.
bgregor 2 Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 Hi Luke, Attached is a screenshot of 8 out of10 cats series recording. You will see there is a number of scheduled recordings this week. When I posted this request there was a program on Channel 4 HD and Channel 4 SD. Emby automatically chose the SD version to record rather than the HD version. It would be great to have a prefer HD selection tab in the series. settings as well as replace recordings library with HD if available. 1
Carlo 4561 Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) What is your tuner? With HDHomeRuns for example you can pick and choose channels that will get used by Emby (done in HDHomeRun software). This allows you to remove all the SD channels. This makes the guides and "on now" type screens looking better without the "dupes". It also solves any recording issues like this. bgregor 2 Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 Yes I know that but if you want to record all episodes across all channels including repeats. The priority needs HD.
