Gyp Joe 2 Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Hello: Lately my Emby app on Roku has become unstable with recorded TV. When I look on the server it says an update to 4.4.2 is available but when I shutdown the server and install the update it seems like it is going thru the wizard for the first time. How do I do an in-place upgrade without starting over again? Thanks

Your only other option is manually getting the update from github extracting the zipped system folder and manually replacing the existing one. Get the "embyserver-win-x64-4.4.3.0.7z" zip Have you tried just stepping through the wizard again?
Gyp Joe 2 Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 Hi: I was wondering if maybe i installed it as admin instead of my regular account however the Wizard was doing the same thing. I ended up re-installing over-top and putting in all my settings, libraries, and premiere keys again. Is it usually more glamorous than this and just my issue then?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 To me it honest sounds like two different installs, but you would have to verify by going to the hidden c:\\users\username\appdata\roaming folder for each user to see if there is a Emby-Server folder.
Gyp Joe 2 Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 I think it may have been installed under two profiles. I tried uninstalling from one profile but it didn't help so I restored from backup. Kinda scared to do any updates now but I think I know where I went wrong. Thanks
