Jasells 0 Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 So, I've had Emby running on a Win 8 box for many years now, but recently I started getting corrupted disk issues, so much that it couldn't boot. Fine, I figured the small 32GB ssd was getting full and old, maybe it is failing, so I clone it to new shiny 512GB ssd. Runs fine for several weeks, then bam-o, again disk errors, Windows freezing, finally can't boot. Take out the ssd, scan, repair it in another system, get windows booting again, but Emby is totally gone! I re-install the portable installation and copy over the data from c:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server to get my basic users and collections back (note: it appears that the important directories are config, data, and metadata). Has anyone had issues like this? My first suspicion is still hardware failure, like sata controller, but thought I'd post here in case there is some weird Emby-update related issue... because it is odd that it seems that Emby is the only thing affected.
Luke 42081 Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log from when this happened? Thanks.
