thebutchergr 4 Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I was streaming from my dedicated box (1 Gbit dublex) to my home (200 down 20 up), and I played some HDR 4K files. I noticed that my home bandwidth was using 70-140 mbits download speed which is understandable and around 18 out of my 20 upload speed. Why does it require so much upload speed? What is sent that needs so much during the 4K streams?

thebutchergr 4 Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 It is a dedicated box on a different network. I run emby on docker on ubuntu server. The playback devices so far have been, Android TV, Windows Browser, Emby Theater , Smartphone Android .
