Banjo 2 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 (edited) I have an issue where the library scan is not picking up a particular file. It is 1 of group of 7 files which were moved, along with their folder to a different place in the library. So, for example: media/cat1/series/film1.mp4 media/cat1/series/film2.mp4 media/cat1/series/film3.mp4 got moved to: media/cat2/series/film1.mp4 media/cat2/series/film2.mp4 media/cat2/series/film3.mp4 After a library scan, film1 and film2 showed up fine in their new location, but film3 was missing. A quick delve through the library.db file showed that it had an entry for film3, but point to the old location not the new one. I then tried the following sequence: Move file back to old location Library scan (film shows up in searches) Move file out of the library entirely Library scan (hoping it would clear out the old entry. It didn't) Move file back to new location Library scan (not showing up in searches again) Can you please advise on the best route to get the old entry out of the library so that it can pick up the file from the new location? Also, could we maybe get an error in the log when this happens? I grepped the emby log folder for the problem filename and it shows much more activity when it finds the file in the old location than in the new one. grep output and log file attached. The file has the same permissions as the other files next to it which moved fine. embyserver.txt grepped-embyserver.log Edited June 7, 2020 by Banjo
Luke 42079 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Hi, what are the contents of the original folder now?
Banjo 2 Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 A whole load of other films. Actually, I just realised I mis-described the scenario slight: media/cat1/film1.mp4 media/cat1/film2.mp4 media/cat1/film3.mp4 media/cat1/<many more films> got moved to: media/cat2/series/film1.mp4 media/cat2/series/film2.mp4 media/cat2/series/film3.mp4 media/cat2/<many more films and series folders>
Luke 42079 Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 I'm not sure yet. Are you still running into this?
Banjo 2 Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 It seems to have resolved itself at some point since I logged this.
