Wobzy 0 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Hi Guys,After much googling i decided to join and check the forums.Still can't find any help for what I'm after.I have locally stored artwork in each movies directory.Am i able to direct emby server to display these as thumbnails.Because of my folder and filename structure it's not finding quite a lot.I really don't know if i have the energy to rearrange it on such a scale, given that it's purely to display thumbnails that I already have. Thanks in advance.
Luke 42085 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.
Wobzy 0 Posted June 6, 2020 Author Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks. \Movies \A (2020) (BRRIP) [1080p] movie.mp4 coverart.jpg \B (2020) (BRRIP) [1080p] movie.mp4 coverart.jpg Rather than restructuring and renaming to locate metadata for every movie I'd like to be able to use the artwork i already have for my win dir thumbnails. Wobzy 0 Posted June 6, 2020 Author Posted June 6, 2020 What software uses coverart.jpg? I'm sorry? I feel like this is a very simple question. Can i have emby display coverart that is stored locally rather than metadata that it isn't finding? Since windows introduced thumbnail images I've always used them to make my music and movie directories easier to navigate and more aesthetically pleasing, is that ok? I'd simply like to use the images i already have for my albums and movies if its going to be easier than dicking around wirh folder names and directory structures for the sake of metadata identification.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 As long as the images are named in a way that Emby uses. Please see Video Images section, "coverart.jpg" is not a known naming scheme. https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159102-movie-naming What image is "coverart.jpg" suppose to represent?
Luke 42085 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 I was just curious where coverart.jpg came from so that's why I asked.
