Ill take screenshots when I'm home.  But vague example, if there is an episode of a show in season 1 called "the dinner party", and on the dvd there are deleted scenes from The Dinner Party.  If i create a folder in season 1 called "deleted scenes" and then put a file in that folder called "Deleted Scenes_The Dinner Party", emby will search the whole folder, find that file name, and make it an alternate version of the episode.  

 

I have 100% described this issue a long, long time ago, as well.
