Thanks Abobader, it looks cool, the only thing is if I use that rather than http://fanart.tv/contribute/ then it wont register the donation on the target tracker.

When this eventually gets added Is there any chance that you could add a field or option where users can add a personal API key https://fanart.tv/get-an-api-key/ and send that as a client_key?

 

An example url would be https://webservice.fanart.tv/v3/movies/120?api_key=6fa42b0ef3b5f3aab6a7edaa78675ac2&client_key=cc8d7705c777f0b5ac7133b5cd363bff

 

You can also send both of these keys as headers so the url to hit would be https://webservice.fanart.tv/v3/movies/120

with headers of:

api-key: 6fa42b0ef3b5f3aab6a7edaa78675ac2

client-key: cc8d7705c777f0b5ac7133b5cd363bff

 

(note the hyphen - instead on an underscore_ in the key names)

 

The benefit of people doing that is v2 requests get images that were approved 14 days+, v3 requests get images approved 7+ days, v3 + client_key gets images 48hours+

@@Kode since you're online. MBS is now using the v3 movies and tv api, but still stuck on v2 for music. It has not been given the improvements that were discussed in this thread unfortunately. 

 

I am guessing it is probably too late to break your api and change them, so we will just have to do it when time allows.

@@Luke I'm confused, what improvements?  The only thing I can see in this thread is about improving the output for parsing, from what I can see the music output is the same as the tv and movie sections?  Or am I missing something in skimming the thread?

when i upgraded a few months ago from v2 to v3, i noticed music api output was still similar to this:
