Hi, this morning, the metadata worked fine on 4.4.2, but now, I can’t obtain it... Same with TVDB and TMDB... Restart the Emby Server doesn’t help... Thanks!

Hi there, please go over an example and attach the emby server log. Thanks.

Hi, what is the example? Thanks.

@@cayars can you test as well.

Sorry, I was thinking that the info was in the log. Star-Trek Discovery, season 2.

All I see is Season poster from TVDB and episode images from TMDB.  I am not seeing any metadata from either provider in the log.

Personally have not done any testing on 4.4.3.0 yet, with will when I get a chance.

What metadata fetchers are enabled on your TV library, and in what order?

I tested adding some new episodes as well as an all new series, and didn't see any problems.

I'm not seeing any problem on my system Luke.

TVDB and I have tried TMDB.

I don’t understand, everything worked perfectly yesterday morning before the update, I don’t know what happens...

I had moved the season out of the folder, made a library scan, reboot the host entirely, put the season back in folder after removing previous nfo and picture, made a new scan and same results... I don’t know what to do more then that...

Hi. Can you show us exactly what that file/folder structure and naming looks like?  Explorer screenshots...

I follow all your scheme recommandations: \\NAS\M\Media\TV Shows\Star Trek Discovery (2017)\Season 02\Star Trek Discovery - S02E01 - Brother - [fra, eng] 1080p 10bit x265 AAC 5.1.mkv

Can you show us a pic of your provider setup?

But there could be something about the structure or naming or some file that is different or unexpected.  Can you show us a screenshot of the actual contents?  Also, what type of library?  TV or Mixed?

It’s not a mixed library, it’s a TV one.

Thanks

Hmm... I just today started seeing s similar problem.

Every day, I add 2 new episodes of a series to my TV library.

These worked yesterday:

Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E33_A_Secret_Life.mkv
Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E34_Servant_Problem.mkv

Today, these did not work:
Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E35_Coming_Home.mkv
Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E36_Final_Arrangements.mkv

All files are in the same folder.

Edit: Well, sorry, I was off by a day.  All the above files worked through yesterday, but the following 2 for today didn't work:
Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E37_Make_My_Death_Bed.mkv
Alfred_Hitchcock_Presents_S06E38_Ambition.mkv

And I should mention that the attached log was taken after a restart of the Emby server, and should include a metadata refresh that I did on S06E37. Although i don't see anything useful.

Did you check to see what tvdb has in your chosen metadata language?

nappysolo

Well, if you are referring to "Preferred metadata download language:" under Library Settings, English is selected. But the last time I changed any of those settings was never.

I can't swear to you that this is happened after a server update, however. I am on 4.4.3, but I don't know when that update occurred. Any way to tell?

When I check the metadata of the first episode, the TVDB ID is correct: 6854213, the fan quote is there to, but the rest is empty...!?

I do not get any TVDB IDs.

But, I tried some stuff:

- I modified the library to use TheMovieDB as a secondary source for episode metadata - no change. BUT then

- I moved TheMovieDB to the top, so it would go there first, and I am now getting data.

Does this mean that Emby successfully communicated with TVDB but got no data back? And that's why it didn't try the secondary source?

Is TVDB having problems again?

I also have been experiencing issues with TVDB, I had to enable a second source as well in order to get any data to actually show up.

I have verified that I'm getting data from TheMovieDB now, rather than TVDB, but the tvdbid is being populated. I wouldn't have expected tvdbid to come from moviedb. Is that possible? Or is it actually getting through to TVDB after the successful moviedb query, and only filling in tvdbid because the other items are already there? Which is a net loss because tvdb has a longer cast list.
