Okeur75 7 Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Hello guys, Small bug when you disconnect from a ChromeCast but click no I do not want to disconnect, you are disconnected though... Initial situation: Open the Android app Connect to a ChromeCast You should see on the TV screen the Emby logo, you can click on a movie on your phone and it appears on the screen. Click Disconnect When prompted : Are you sure you want to disconnect, click yes Now you can see the default background wallpapers of the chromecast o nthe TV screen. Bug: Open the Android app Connect to a ChromeCast You should see on the TV screen the Emby logo, you can click on a movie on your phone and it appears on the screen. Click Disconnect When prompted : Are you sure you want to disconnect, click no The TV screen still displays the emby information, but Emby shows you as disconnected (the cast icon on the upper right show you are disconnected). If you navigate through the Emby app, the chromecast does not update its display. So it seems even if you click no, you are actually disconnected. But not totally since the ChromeCast still displays the last Emby information it had before you clicked "no" on the disconnection. What should happen: When you click no on the disconnection popup; you should not be disconnected at all. Hope it's clear. Emby 4.4.2.0 Emby for mobile 3.1.23 Cheers,
Luke 42078 Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 HI, if that's what you want then you should actually click Cancel instead. No means disconnect the mobile app, but keep playing on the Chromecast receiver.
Okeur75 7 Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 Hi, Thanks for your reply. Hmm the cancel button does not appear once you click disconnect. If you click on the cast icon, here you have a cancel button ok, but once you click on disconnect you can only choose between yes or no. So if you mis-clicked on disconnect, you are f*cked, because either way (yes or no) you are disonnected (as you explained). So if I may suggest, either : Add a cancel button on the disconnect "page" Or change the behavior when we answer "no" to be more like a cancel action Change the description of the "no" to "Disconnect the mobile app but keep playing on the Chromecast".
Solution Luke 42078 Posted June 8, 2020 Solution Posted June 8, 2020 but once you click on disconnect you can only choose between yes or no. Hi, you can also just use the android back button as cancel. 1
