How can I regenerate a cover image for a certain episode of a TV series?

 

As shown in the figure below, only the first episode generates a cover image based on the content, and nothing else can be generated.

To just regenerate the metadata, simply use the three dots and select 'Refresh Metadata', overwrite images = Yes.

 

However unless the metadata providers (tvdb etc) have episode images, then you will probably not get the images you are after and it will just use a season image.

 

On the Library > Advanced settings option - you can also prioritise the 'Screen Grabber' (ie bring it further up the list) which in combination with your .NFO files - will at least provide some different images from each episode.  Be careful though, as this is a Library wide setting - so I would experiment first before making any big changes.  ie make the change to the Fetcher order - then force a metadata refresh on just the problem items and maybe put it back if they are not the results you need.
