Mkilbride 86 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 So I'm letting a friend watch a show with me. It s a bit-rate of 8Mbps. They have a 1 Gig network, 1 Gig up and down. I have 20Mbps up. No other uploads or anything happening. And yet...they're limited to a 1.5Mbps stream. It says because media exceeds bit-rate limit. But I have it set to automatic / unlimited ect. I can't figure it out. When I'm out streaming on my phone at work(On Mobile network) I can get full speed.
Luke 42083 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Hi, if you find that Auto is choosing a value that is too low, you can always customize it in the app's playback settings. Please see if that helps. Thanks.
Mkilbride 86 Posted May 24, 2020 Author Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) I tried just setting it manually. I'm confused. Weirdly enough when using Plex, they can do the full speed of the episode. I've tried adjusting all the network stuff I can think of. Edited May 24, 2020 by Mkilbride
crusher11 1102 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 I'm having the same issue, a user that can get 18Mbps down from my server is getting Auto at 2.5Mbps. Changed their in app quality setting to 15Mbps and it works just fine. There's no reason auto should have picked such a low number.
Luke 42083 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 We can do it as well but you may just need to adjust the in app quality setting.
