Remote Access over app.emby.media not working

Hallo,


Ich verwende seit Jahren Plex , habe aber begonnen, Emby zu testen.

- Server OS: Win10
- Emby Version: Latest stable
- Firewall AUS

- Portforwarding erfolgt und Port ist von außen geöffnet, überprüft (https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/)
- Server ist aus der Ferne erreichbar, wenn wanip:port verwendet wird, aber nicht, wenn app.emby.media verwendet wird

Ich habe alles eingerichtet, aber ich bekomme den Fernzugriff nicht zum Laufen, wenn ich app.emby.media aus der Ferne verwende.

Ich habe einen 2. Benutzer zum Testen der Lib-Freigabe erstellt, den Benutzer zum Emby-Connect verbunden und den Benutzer zu meinem Server hinzugefügt.


Auf dem Anmeldebildschirm sehe ich meinen Server, aber wenn ich mich verbinde, sagt er mir, daß ich mich nicht verbinden konnte, selbst wenn ich den Server manuell über meine öffentliche IP-Adresse und den Port hinzufüge.

ABER:

Wenn ich meine öffentliche IP-Adresse und den Port direkt in die Adressleiste eintrage, funktioniert es, und auch der Port ist von außen offen, das habe ich schon überprüft und die Portweiterleitung vorgenommen.

Es funktioniert nur nicht, wenn ich versuche, mich über app.emby.media zu verbinden. Gibt es etwas, das ich hinzufügen oder tun muss?

Ich habe bereits die Anleitung zur Behebung von Verbindungsproblemen gelesen, aber sie deckt mein Problem nicht ab, weil der Port offen ist und ich über wan ip auf den Server gelangen kann.


Ist die Fernverbindung über app.emby.media eine Premium-Funktion? Weil ich beim Testen die kostenlose Version verwende.

It's been many years since I studied German, but I got the gist of what you are asking.  I'll respond in English, and you can translate.

 

First of all, yes, I believe that using Emby Connect is a premium feature.  If your able to connect by WAN IP/Port from outside your home network, everything is at least set up correctly.

 

If you want to continue to use the free version, you can look in to getting your own domain and directing that to your home server.  That's actually what a large number of the active members of the forum do.  The ability to do that without interference from Emby is one of the main reasons I use Emby over Plex.

 

With that said... I also highly recommend supporting the Emby team through a premium membership.

So before getting a premium member i wanted to test it, because i normally buy the lifetime membership.

I wanted to make myself familiar with emby and how to invite a member before i do so.

Maybe there is something i need to configure or maybe an admin can really tell me why the app.emby.media isn't working from outside of my lan.

if i can see it is working and can test, i will take the premium membership but first i need to figure out a few things how they work with emby (like user invitation etc.)

The normal recommendation is to start with a 1 month premium membership in order to test advanced features.  It's a small cost, and really helps the Emby team/project.

 

Otherwise, you can do what others here do, and that is to set up a reverse proxy on your server machine that will direct requests to the proper location.  So you could basically setup www.domain.com and domain.com to go to your webserver, and something like emby.domain.com to go to your test Emby server.

 

Connectivity to Emby works differently than Plex.

@@softworkz i use it to get access to my server from remote. How else should i get access to my server from remote?
I don't have an own domain on the server my emby is running.

 

 

I thought this would be the normal way, also for other ppl if i invite or add them on my server

Yes, this is the "normal" way. But you could also use a dynamic DNS service and let users connect directly without any 3rd party involved.

 

Did you try http:// or https:// for app.emby.media ?

Or, you could also just use your public IP address.  app.emby.media is a convenience but isn't necessary.
