Update Samsung Codecs

Hey,

I have a Samsung QLED Q70R and I watch stuff via DLNA.

 

Sadly many movies are being transcoded..

 

For example (in Chrome/PC):

 

 

On the TV:

 

The TV supports all the codecs as seen here(Page 136-138):

Would be cool If you could update the profiles. Or would this issue be fixed If I used the emby app?

Hi, yes it would be fixed with the Emby app. We can look at updating the Dlna profiles, it's just currently designed for older Samsungs in order to ensure that everything will play.

i can say that with the sammy emby app the movies play direct stream incl. hdr, the app is a bit laggy, but playback works overall,

and i have an older 65KS9590.

Okay, I just didn't wanted to fiddle around because my TV is wall mounted and I had to unmount him first to finally get a USB Cable attached. But I did it now and it works great.
