Metadata Manager identify double music albums like single disc

Thank you for your response and proposal, but no thanks.

Your head, your wall.  I know they plan to expand music recognition.  I don't know that it will help you.  You could be up and running in short order if you chose to correctly tag and organize your files for Emby as it exists today.

Reality, your wall. Emby Metadata Manager stops reading some metadata info once it found files into a folder and assume all the rest of files belong to the same artist/album.

My files are perfectly tagged and I don´t need to do anything about it:

Do yourself the same test, move some other artist album let´s say A to another one B, rescan your file system and post here a screen capture of your Emby Metadata Manager showing the B artist THEN AND JUST THEN write me again with the results.

You say everything is tagged perfectly.  Everyone in your shoes says the same thing at first.

If your directory structure matched Emby's requirements and your tags were error-free, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It's up to you if you want to conform your collection to Emby's requirements of course, but doing so will fix your issues.

And the reality is your tags are not perfect - queue the issues you are having - which i and DeathSquirrel have posted about

the rest of us will tag correctly and have a supported structure to our music and not have these problems

and no dents in our walls either

So, why service is called "Metadata manager" if it stop to read metadata info depending where the file is located?

And I don't see your print screen capture of Emby Metadata Manager after moving a different artist into another one ...

No you did not.

Do the following into your computer and then post your screen captures to understand what I'm trying to say.

Well, now I switched to Kodi Music database and it's working fine just like it had to do it.

Thanks anyway.

I still think you'll have much more success and an easier time if you edit the 'discnumber'.

Just edit the tags so that Disc 1 is 1/2, and Disc 2 is 2/2.

It's a fairly simple test?  This is how I have mine and I'm not having your issues.

Emby is now managing Movies & TV Shows only until this issue will be corrected or improved in the future.

Thanks.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with that format but just as a heads up, you can also just use 1 and 2 in that value just fine.  That's what I generally use though I wouldn't be surprised if I still had some 1/2 and 2/2 tags out there.  Both should work in my experience.
