How to Turn off Subs and use VLC within server

Hi guys I have MBS on my PC which I love. I control it with mouse or keyboard.

1. How do I turn off/on Subtitles as sometimes they show up and I don't want them to.

2. Can I play my movies through MBS with VLC instead of the default player? How do I do this?

3. Can I turn my keyboard into a remote for MBS? How would I do that?

 

I only use MBS not media centre.
