In the original Media Browser, TV Series Metadata was taken from a hidden metadata folder that contained a folder image and the images placed in the CoverArt presentation, as well as a number of xml files that mapped the series/episode information.

Eg. File S01E01.wmv in the Season 1 folder, and in the hidden metadata folder a matching S01E01.xml file with the name and description of the show and mapping to a related image file corresponding to that episode.

However, it seems that MB3 is not reading that metadata information and providing the related detail on screen.

PS ... this seems to only be happening with a series that I've manually created from a Box Set collection of six different short tv series of a two to eight episodes each.  But, the structure is the same as the others, and did work in the earlier MB.

It makes me wonder if my setting up the collection as a [boxSet] with sub-folders for each series, then sub folders for each season, there may be a drill down challenge.

The CoverArt seems to be reading differently where the Show folders under the [boxSet] folder is being seen as a folder as opposed to a series (series.xml is contained within this folder), and episodes are showing as CoverArt tumbnails as opposed to the configured tv set image.

Boxsets are really designed for movies and not TV series. While I'm not sure that is it, it could be the cause of your problems.

This is actually a server function - moving topic.

If you have made custom xml it may not be compatible with MB3.  You may want to delete it and then re-create the information using the Web Client edit capabilities.
